ITALKO BRAND
The set includes:
- polyester resin

Designed for filling significant material losses in car bodies, reinforcing the structure of repaired elements, and strengthening rusted areas in car bodies, boats, yachts, and camping trailers. It is resistant to atmospheric factors, greases, oils, gasoline, as well as diluted acids and bases. It features high elasticity and a short curing time. Once cured, it has very high strength and can be sanded and covered with any polyester fillers.
SUBSTRATE:
- steel
- wood
- metal
- polyester laminates
- aluminum
- old paint coatings
- Do not apply directly on reactive primers and single-component acrylic and nitrocellulose products.
APPLICATION METHOD:
- Surface preparation: Clean the surfaces by degreasing, sanding, and cleaning. Degrease again and then dry thoroughly.
- Preparation of glass mat: Prepare an appropriate piece of glass mat so that it overlaps at least 2 cm beyond the damaged area.
- Preparation of resin: Mix thoroughly to achieve a uniform color of 100 weight parts of polyester resin with 2-3 weight parts of hardener. Application time after mixing with hardener is 10-15 minutes at 20°C. Do not exceed the recommended amounts of hardener.
Application:
- Apply the resin mixed with hardener to the cleaned area using a brush.
- Place the mat, press it down, and saturate it with resin using a brush. Depending on the damage, several layers can be applied. Minimum working temperature is 10°C. Do not pour unused resin mixed with hardener back into the can.
Drying time:
45 minutes/20°C. After curing, the laminate surface can be mechanically processed or leveled with polyester filler. Temperatures below 20°C extend the drying time.
Sanding:
Initial sanding should be done with P80-P120 sandpaper.
Storage:
Store in original packaging, tightly closed, in a dry, cool place away from heat sources and ignition, at a temperature of 5 to 20°C. Do not expose to direct sunlight.
