TRANSPARENT ACRYLIC VARNISH HS 2:1 + HARDENER 

BRAND BLUE-CAR

BLUE-CAR Transparent varnish HS is an acrylic transparent varnish with a high content of VOCs, providing full and partial coverage of cars and utility vehicles with a glossy transparent varnish.

It is characterized by optimal resistance to solvents. The transparent varnish HS guarantees strong long-lasting curing, especially when drying under the influence of quartz heaters in the spray booth or infrared heaters, but also when drying at room temperature.

It can be polished immediately after drying, has high resistance to all atmospheric conditions, as well as chemical and mechanical.

It is also suitable as a protective varnish for neon shades (daylight colors). The advantage of the varnish is easy and safe processing in all climatic conditions.

Application:

  • Acrylic varnish for application with a spray gun.
  • For professional use in automotive painting.

Mixing ratios:

  • Varnish: 2
  • Hardener: 1

Usability time from the moment of mixing with the hardener is about 2 hours at 20°C

How to use:

  1. The varnish is applied to previously sprayed and dried base layers.
  2. Spray in the undiluted version 1.5 layers, with dilution two or three single layers, leaving time for evaporation of 5÷10 min between coats (depending on temperature and layer thickness).
  3. After 10 minutes from applying the last layer, the coating can be cured at elevated temperature.

Recommendations:

  • Layer thickness: 40-50 (micrometers) for each layer
  • Spray viscosity, gun nozzle, working pressure:  DIN 4/20°C 17 19 s, 1.3 1.4mm, 3 4 bar
  • Curing time: at 20°C -- 14 hours, at 60°C -- 45 min.
  • Efficiency: 1 liter of varnish + hardener in the appropriate ratio allows for obtaining about 12m2  of dry layer with a thickness of 50µm.
  • Storage conditions: Store in a dark and dry place away from sources of fire and heat. The shelf life in a factory-sealed package at 20˚C is 24 months for varnish and 12 months for hardener.
