Description

3M FAST CUT COMPOUND 09374 (WHITE CORK)

Fast Cut polishing compound - 3M   is a polishing paste  ideally suited for use on more heavily scratched surfaces. A very effective coarse-grained polishing compound that provides immediate results.

With paste 09374, we work without water, using a machine polisher with a hard polishing sponge or polishing wool.

The dedicated orange sponge 09550 3M works great for removing scratches.

It allows for achieving a high gloss and perfect finish on areas sanded with 1500/2000 grit sandpaper on any type of paint coating.

HOW TO POLISH WITH PASTE - 3M - 09374 Fast Cut from 3M

3M - Fast Cut - 09374 is the strongest polishing paste from the Perfect-it III line.  Due to its coarse grain, it is suitable  for very scratched surfaces as a preliminary polishing paste. The paste is used  after matting the polished surface with P1500 -P2000 sandpaper.  Recommended machine sanding with 3M P1500 260L - 50238 discs, and finishing with micro-abrasive paper on a 260L - 3MP3000 - TRIZACT 150mm 50414 disc. It is then recommended to use the FC (Fast Cut) polishing compound.

The Fast Cut paste should be used with an electric polisher (polishers with standard speeds of 1500-2500 - pneumatic or electric).  Before use, it is advisable to shake the bottle well.

The product should be used with a polishing sponge mounted on a Velcro pad (09550). The amount of material applied is divided into two parts - one is applied directly to the element, and the other on the surface of the sponge to moisten it. In the 3M polishing system, additional continuous soaking of the sponge is no longer necessary. Using the original 3M backing plate facilitates smooth pressure adjustment. It is advisable to start with medium pressure of the sponge against the surface and gradually decrease it. Microfiber

Excess FC should be removed with a microfiber cloth. If the orange sponge is too hard for the paint surface, we can alternatively use the green sponge 50487.
